He was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur and was a 2005 graduate of Sulphur High School. Jared worked for many years as a Pipeliner. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Carlyss. He enjoyed riding Harleys, being on the water, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Jamie Walters of Carlyss; his aunt and adoptive mother, Tina Lowery of Sulphur; his uncle and adoptive father, Manny Breaux of Sulphur; his children, Kennidie Johnson and Lisa Walters, both of Plano, Texas, Wyatt Walters of Lake Charles, and Maverik Walters of Carlyss; his brothers, Justin Walters of Sulphur, Tyler Breaux of Vinton, and Brandon Breaux of DeQuincy; grandparents, John Wayne and Linda Cart of Carlyss, Arnold "Walt" and Awanda "Jeanie" Walters of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Ray Breaux of DeQuincy; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Haddock Walters; his father, Greg Walters; grandparents, Don Haddock and Martha Breaux.
A Celebration of Jared's Life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, in First Baptist Church of Carlyss, led by Jody Barrilleaux, Celebrant. Visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m. Monday in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home and will resume from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the church.
