Jason Daniel Monroe, 48, of Sulphur, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Jason was born on December 6, 1976 to Bobby and Becky Monroe. He loved listening to music, especially Gospel, Country and Cajun. He loved taking rides in the car with his dad and playing in the yard with his trucks.
Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Lea Hartstine Monroe; sister, Heather Lynn Monroe; grandparents: Perry Monroe Sr., Lucy Molitor, John Hartstine and Mable Koonce; along with aunts and uncles: Charles Monroe, Perry Monroe Jr., Shirley Monroe Day, and Arnold Dean Hartstine.
Jason is survived by his father, Bobby Daniel Monroe of Sulphur; as well as his cousins: Kevin Hartstine and wife Stacy of Sulphur, Marion Dean (Dino) Hartstine of Sulphur, Melissa Hartstine of Pineville, Carey Day Barr and husband Don of Ragley, Connie Day Hext and husband Robert of DeQuincy, Cindy Day O'Neill and husband Robert of Ragley, Tina Monroe Glenn, Marilyn Monroe and husband Alex Blair of Westlake, Elizabeth Monroe of Ragley, Steven Monroe and wife Tonya of Ragley, John Monroe, Doug Monroe of Texas, and Bull Monroe of Lake Charles.
A Celebration of Jason's Life will be held from 9 - 11am on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Houston River Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor Lonnie Gothrup.
