

Jerome was employed by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury as a security guard for 27 years. He enjoyed watching western movies and football, and playing cards and dominos. He had recently moved to live with his brother and sister-in-law.
Survivors include his sister, Betty McFarlain Turner of Sulphur; his brother, Alvin L. McFarlain and wife Beverly of Spokane, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome McFarlain Sr. and Celeste Daigle McFarlain; and siblings, Wallace McFarlain, A.D. McFarlain, Lena Herrington, Jerald D. McFarlain and James Thomas McFarlain. Jerome had a numerous amount of friends and will be dearly missed by all that respected and loved him.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the funeral home. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Spokane for all of the help and direction of care that was provided to Jerome.
