Jesse was a native of Sulphur and attended Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He attended a Cursillo and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved to barbeque and drink beer. He truly loved his family.
Survivors include his sons Billy Henry and his wife, Rose, of Hammond, Robert W. Henry and his wife, Nancy, of Lake Charles, David Henry of DeQuincy, and Neal Henry of Lake Charles; daughters Debbie Miller of Sulphur, and Vicky Endresen of Sulphur; sisters Ruth Ann Phelps of Sulphur, and Eunice O’Quinn of Sulphur; 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Henry; daugher Gwendolyn Washington; granddaughter Suzie Marcenac; brother L.J. Henry and sister Eva Mae Hair.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 29, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral home. Deacon Johnny Mounce will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
