Johnnie Ruth Justus, 94, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. She was born to her late parents, Willis and Lilly Royer on May 20, 1932 in Sulphur. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, skating, cooking, and loved to entertain her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda LeJeune (Larry); two grandchildren, Ashley Pharris (Kevin) and Chad LeJeune (Chauntelle) all of Sulphur; eight great grandchildren, Andrew LaFleur, Cole Pharris (Caitlyn), Gabe LeJeune, Jake Pharris, Zoe LeJeune, Lilly LeJeune, Gracie Pharris, and Will LeJeune; along with one great-great granddaughter, Violet.
Johnnie is preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Justus; her parents, Willis and Lilly Royer; siblings, Pat Royer, Alvin Royer, Betsy Dowers, and George T. Royer.
A Celebration of Johnnie's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 12:00 pm, with Bro. Jonathan Walker officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be at Royer Cemetery in Sulphur.
