He was a native and lifelong resident of the Hackberry-Sulphur area. He attended Church of the King in Lake Charles and First Baptist Church in Hackberry. Jonathan enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family, especially his children and his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his mother, Lisa Maronge of Sulphur; his father, Eddie LeJuine and wife, Michelle of Hackberry; his children, Conner James LeJuine and Jason Ray LeJuine of Lake Charles; his step-grandparents, Robert and Brenda Silcox, and Melba "Blondie" LeJuine, all of Hackberry; his siblings, Laken Koonce of Sulphur, Magen Guidry of Sulphur, Joseph LeJuine of Lafayette, Jacob LeJuine of Hackberry, Ashley Herman of Carlyss, and Erica LeBlanc of Sulphur; the mother of his children, Candace Hicks of Lake Charles; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ona Lee and Sherbert Maronge; his paternal grandparents, Johnny LeJuine and Mildred Powers Cox; his aunt, Shelby Kay Jacobs, of St. Paul, Virginia; his uncle, Timothy Pago; and his cousins, Joshua McLendon and Ray Clark.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 19, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Monte Rowse will officiate. Burial will be in Hackberry Cemetery.
