She was a native of Jennings and was a resident of Sulphur for 46 years, moving to Groves, Texas last year. Juevonne was a member of Victory Worship Center where she served as a greeter. She was also a member and former President of the TOPS group. Juevonne had served as the personal caregiver to Ted Lyons and his family. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her sons, Kenny Miller and wife, Jinna, and Matthew Miller and wife, Jennifer, all of Sulphur; her daughters, Denise Guthrie of Baytown, Texas, and Diana Leach and husband, Troy of Groves, Texas; her siblings, Peggy Gary and husband, Fred of Moss Bluff, Stephanie Strickler of Sulphur, Henry Strickler of Gonzales, and Randy Strickler and wife, Lisa of Denham Springs; her honorary daughter, Tammy Myers of Sulphur; twelve grandchildren; Tara Quick, Eric Guthrie, Andy Guthrie and wife, Dixie, Tracy Tremont, Kayla Cannon and husband, Brady, Devin Young, Dakota Young, Amber Miller, Jonathan Miller, Matthew Miller Jr, Miranda Harmon and husband, Caleb, and Alanna LeBlanc and husband Dylan; and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glen P. Miller; her parents, Henry and Lorraine Strickler; sister, Judith Strickler Frioux; and a son-in-law, Mike Guthrie.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry LaFleur, Rick LaFleur, and Cazzy Francis will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff of Kindred Hospice, especially Carmen and JoAnn.
