Kenneth "Zack" Ira Zachary

He was a native of Clinton, Louisiana and had been a resident of Sulphur for the last 45 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur. Kenneth was a 1960 graduate of LSU "Geaux Tigers" where he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi. He was an avid history buff and enjoyed boating, fishing, reading, and spending time at his camp on the river.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Josephine "Jolie" Zachary; his children, Kenneth David "Zack" Zachary and wife, Andrea of Natchitoches, Jill Angela Zachary of Sulphur, Stephanie Ann Lee and husband, Rick of Dallas, Texas, Tara Elizabeth Laver and husband, Harry of Leavenworth, Kansas; his sister, Darlyne Allain and husband, Jeff of Sulphur; ten grandchildren, Daniel James Broussard, Jr. and wife, Stacy, Derek Broussard and wife, Victoria, Alex Zachary and wife, Jennifer, Rebecca Lee, Taylor Zachary and wife, Shalynn, Mary-Catherine Zachary, Erica Lee, Sara-Beth Hansen and husband, Colby, Emma Zachary, and Lily Zachary; seven great-grandchildren, Trey, Allie, Brooke, Mason, Alyssa, Canyon, and Markece; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Ira Ellis Zachary; his mother and step-father, Clara Powers and Rodney A. Zachary; and his brother, Richard Ellis Zachary.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur. The Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. Friday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and from 9 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
