

LC was a native of Jonesboro, Louisiana, and lived in Sulphur since 1957. He enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley.
Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years Janice Johnston; sons Louis Johnston, Jr. and his wife Tamra, of Carlyss, Rusty Johnston of Sulphur, and Marlin Johnston of Texas; daughter Syrenthia Thibodeaux and her husband Keith, of Westlake; step-daughter, Stefani Guidry and husband, Gary of Sulphur; sisters Elouise Henderson of Jonesboro, Evelyn Bell of Rosepine, Texas, Bobbie Sneed of Jonesboro, Jo Ann Waits of Quitman, and Barbara Ottwell of Quitman; brothers Kenneth Johnston of Natchez, Mississippi; Otis Johnston of Dallas, Texas, Jerry Johnston of Dallas, Texas, and Roger Johnston of Jonesboro; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, David Johnston; parents Jessie and Donnie Johnston; and 7 brothers and sisters.
His memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 6, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, with a rosary at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
