Louise was a member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur and sang with the Agin` Cajuns Senior Choir. She was the bookkeeper for Dr. Charles Smith for many years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, camping and playing dominos with friends. Louise loved to travel and was always ready to go. Spending time and playing with her grandchildren was her greatest joy.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy Walsh and her husband Jim, Sr. of Carlyss, Karen David and husband Roger of Sulphur, and Jeff Shelton and his wife Carol of Dequincy; four grandchildren, Jim Walsh, Jr., Traci Mobley, Tyler Shelton, and Jaden Shelton; sister, Betty Matthews of Vivian, LA; seven great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, A.D. Shelton; and two brothers, Charles Terry and Paul Dean Terry.
A Funeral service honoring Louise's life will be held at 11am, Saturday, January 19, 2019 in Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Dr. Andy Buckley will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery of Carlyss. Visitation will be 5 - 8pm, Friday and resume Saturday at 10am until time of service.
