Margaret Wilson, 91, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at her residence. She was born to her late parents, Joseph and Margaret McMahon on April 29, 1932 in Glasgow, Scotland. She enjoyed knitting, poetry, history, reading, and watching old movies. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, granddaughter, and her fur babies.
She is survived by her children, Paul Wilson of Houston, Texas, Mari Wilson of Sulphur, Louisiana, and Julie Sweeton (Jody) of Houston, Texas; her granddaughter, Megan Richard of Austin, Texas; along with her sibling, Sister Patricia McMahon of the United Kingdom.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Hugh Wilson; her parents; along with her siblings, Jean, Joseph, John, Patrick, Harry, and Peter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur, Louisiana on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11:00 am, with Father Timothy Goodly officiating. A Rosary will begin at the church on Friday at 9:30am, followed by the Visitation starting at 10:00 am, followed by the Mass at 11:00 am. Inurnment will follow at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
