She was a native of Buhler and had been a resident of Sulphur since 1978, coming from Beaumont, Texas. Marjorie was a member of Houston River Baptist Church where she had been involved in caring for the children in the nursery for 15 years. She enjoyed embroidery and cooking for her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Charles Gill of Hardin, Texas and Sharon Thibodeaux and husband, James of Beaumont, Texas; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Gill, Sr; son, Walter Gill, Jr; and four brothers.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 31, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakland Springs Cemetery in Oberlin. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home.
