

Mark was a beloved husband, father, brother and son. Most of all, he enjoyed his family and his Conoco Refinery friends, fishing, wood working, country music and telling jokes. He was an outspoken, soft-hearted friend to everyone who knew him. He was the best yard sale chauffeur. Mark worked pipe construction for 30 years and loved everyone in and everything about it.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, fishing buddy, yard sale buddy, and best friend, Tammy Coburn; daughter, Christy Lynn Wilson and husband James, “Jr.” of Sulphur; two sons, Larry Courmier and wife Moneka Jones of Sulphur, and Anthony “Little Big Head” Coburn and wife Kellie of Racine, Wisconsin; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Lyons of Sulphur; eight very-loved grandchildren, Breonna, Christopher, Barrett, Kyleigh, Aleigha,Trey, Grayson and Zoie; beloved father and best friend, Morris “Mike” Coburn of Sulphur; bodyguard to sister, Sherry Klein, husband Kurt Klein of Moss Bluff; sister-in-law Sindy Coburn of Rushville Nebraska; sister, Juanita Malkemes of Racine, Wisconsin; lots of nieces and nephews, friends, and lifelong friends- Kenneth Strother, Jody Dykes and Ike Dowers- just to name a few. He is preceded in death by his mother, Janice “Jan” Coburn; and brother, Steve “Gator” “Slidell” Coburn.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for medical and funeral expenses.
Funeral services for Mark will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2013 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bobby Welch will officiate. Interment will follow in Royer Cemetery.
