

Martha was a native of West Monroe, Louisiana and as a high school girl, had moved with her family to Hackberry in 1951 thinking she had arrived at the "End of The World". She was a graduate of Hackberry High School and then received her degree in Business Administration from McNeese State University. She met her husband, Clifton at a church event. They later married and had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Martha was a member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur and loved the Lord with all of her heart. She had enjoyed sewing, cooking, talking on the phone with her friends, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Clifton Cabell of Hackberry; her children, Cena Louise Glass of Akron, Ohio, Callie Anne Jeter and husband, Tony of Batavia, Ohio, and Charles Mundy Cabell and Carey Lynn Cabell, both of Hackberry; her sister, Gertrude "Trudy" Dowden and husband, Bobby of Princeton, Texas; and four grandchildren, Pauline Katherine Glass, Clifton Scott Glass, Colette Noel Glass, and Harlan Luke Jeter. She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester Krumm and Cena Pauline Wanless Krumm; two brothers, Wilbur Krumm and George Krumm; and a son-in-law, Jeff Glass.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, in First Baptist Church of Sulphur. The Rev. Tom Bruce will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
