August 21, 1945October 18, 2020

Martha Anne Walton, 75, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 in a friend's home in League City, Texas.

Martha was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on August 21, 1945 to Albert Reeves Walton and Martha Smith Walton. She worked for many years as a Medical Technologist. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur where she served as a Sunday School teacher and also served in various leadership roles. Martha was a constant student of God's Word, spending hours in study. Her final wish was that her memorial service be an expression of the saving power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the One who has called her home.

Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 2, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Linton will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport at 4 p.m. Monday. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Martha's request was for memorial donations be made to the Missions Offerings of First Baptist Church of Sulphur, 401 S. Huntington Street, Sulphur, LA 70663. Words of comfort and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
