Mary "Lorraine" Duhon, 83, of Sulphur, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025. She was born to her late parents, Emery Broussard and Martha Chargois on August 30, 1941 in Bell City, Louisiana. Lorraine worked hard all of her life to raise her children as a single parent. She loved her dogs and cats. Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed taking her grandkids fishing and crabbing during the summers. Lorraine loved planting flowers and tending to her garden. If she loved you it was completely and if she didn't.....well.....you knew. She was a wildfire and a whirlwind. Strong. Tough. Lorraine was ready to spill the wine (IYKYK) or sit in silence. It didn't matter which one as long as it was with her family. Determined, stubborn, until the the last moment and only danced to her own drum.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Hotard (James) of Gonzales, Louisiana, Dana Duhon (Craig) of Lafayette, Louisiana, Sharon "PeeWee" Duhon (Christy) of Magnolia, Texas, Shawn Duhon (Alonnia) of Sulphur, Michelle Lopez (Eric) of Sulphur; grandchildren, Garrett Duhon (Heather Misse), Brylee Peveto (Connor), Conner Duhon, Emma Duhon, Peyton Duhon, Olivia Duhon, Gaven Duhon, Brennan Duhon (Brooke), Elizabeth Lopez (Topher Carlisle), Adam "The Favorite" Lopez, Kayden Hotard, Bryce Duhon, Eddie Ray Guillory (Heather), Adam "Nick" Duhon (Georgia), Adam "Craig" Duhon (Aly), Kimberly Guidry (Kevin), Ronnie Rozas, Jamie Rozas, and Nicole Kelly; 22 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law and best friend, Sandra Chargois; sisters, Janie Pago, Pauline Morgan (Johnny), Lois Durant, along with her brother, Ronnie Chargois (Jamie).
