Montana Lynn McCarty, 25, of Longville, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on September 23, 1998 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Montana loved to cook and was really good at it. Montana enjoyed spending time with her brothers fishing, playing video games, and loved a variety of music. Most of all, she loved her daughter Mya more than anything.
She is survived by her daughter, Mya McNeil; father, Tim McCarty of Sulphur; mother, Shauntay Peloquin (Leon) of Longville; brothers, Garren McCarty (McKenzie) of Big Lake, Christain McCarty (Bailee), Kaden, Kyle, Kolt, and Keith Peloquin, all of Longville; sisters, Jessica McCarty of Huntsville, Texas, Karlie Peloquin, and Madalyn Peloquin both of Longville; along with her grandmother, Sheron "Sherry" LeBert of Longville.
Montana is preceded in death by her grandfather, Bob LeBert; cousin, Dakota LeBert; along with her uncle, Tommy McCarty.
A Celebration of Montana's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 1:00 pm, with Hixson Celebrant Jody Tyler. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, beginning at 11:00 am until the time of the service.
