He graduated from Judice High School. He was active in 4-H, showing prize Herford breeding bulls. Nat was also active in FFA, serving as Senior JP, attending FA conferences in Kansas City and escorting Miss FFA of Louisiana to the ball. After graduating, he attended University of Southwest Louisiana for animal husbandry.
Nat retired from Tidewater, Inc. in 2004 as Sr. Marine Superintendent with 18 of his 30 years of his career overseas. He lived for his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved taking care of his farm and all things Western. He looked forward to his yearly dove hunting expeditions in Texas that he took with Clint Morgan.
Nathaniel is survived by his wife, Gayle Broussard of Sulphur, LA; son Christopher Broussard and his wife, Kathryn of Houston, TX; daughter, Jillian Fetters and her husband, Rob; granddaughter, Astin Fetters; grandson, Bobby Fetters of Sulphur, LA; sister, Nancy Whittington, and brother, Benny Broussard, both of Lafayette, La.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Broussard, Sr., sister and her late husband, Sarah and Alex Hebert, adopted grandparents, Ben D. and Elia Broussard, and biological grandparents, Silvian and Jean Girard.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026 in the chapel at Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home with a Rosary beginning at 10:00 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ron Fosshage officiating. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery.
