He was a native and lifelong resident of Edgerly and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was a volunteer fireman with Ward 7 Fire Department in Edgerly for over 30 years. Bud enjoyed playing dominos, cards, crossword puzzles and also hunting and fishing. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ruthie Caswell; his son, Scott Caswell and wife Theresa of Vinton; his siblings, LJ Caswell of Carlyss, Edward Caswell of Silsbee, Texas, Lorina Fontenot of Sulphur, Nancy Duraso of Westlake, and Jennie Landry of Lake Charles; his grandchildren, Alvin Caswell, Mickenzie Caswell Butter and husband Brandon, and Matthew Caswell; step-grandchildren, Megan and Shawn Galant; and his beloved dogs, Bandit and Pedro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilton Caswell Sr. and Nancy Fontenot Caswell; and his siblings, Wilton Caswell Jr, John Caswell, Dorothy Caswell, Sadie Johnson and Jo Ann Caswell.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
