Patrick was born in San Diego, California on September 4, 1967. He grew up in Chula Vista, California. As a child he enjoyed being in Indian Guides and later Boy Scouts. He liked playing in little league baseball and later football. He spent summers camping with his family and visiting his Maine relatives. In his older life he enjoyed working on engines and race cars. He also enjoyed Wolves and especially Dragons, which he had a collection.
Eventually he became a semi-truck driver, driving across country, which moved him to Arizona. Sudden life-threatening changes caused him to finally move to Sulphur Louisiana with his love, Shiela. He spent the last eight years living there.
Patrick is preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents; his Aunt, Debbie Bazzel; his uncle, Stanley Bazzel and niece, Michelle Duran-Major.
Those left to cherish his memory are his partner and love of his life for 25 years, Sheila Mounier. His
parents, Alton and Madeline Bazzel Hooper of Chula Vista, California; sister, Wendy Hooper Webb; nieces, Amanda Major and Briana Major; nephew, Ryan Major; stepdaughter, Natalie Mounier; grandson, Carter; aunt, Linda Hooper Page; and uncles, Arthur Rankin, Duane Bazzel and Steve Bazzel. He also has numerous cousins across the United States.
