Phoebe Miller Schap

Phoebe was Homecoming Queen of her graduating class at Sulphur High School, Class of 1950 in Sulphur Louisiana. She married her High School Sweetheart Paul Harry Miller in Sulphur Louisiana. in 1951, he died in 1973. She later married Herbert Schap in New Orleans Louisiana, he died in 2001. She attended several business classes and worked for Southern Flow in Broussard Louisiana. She is a former member of Henning Memorial United Methodist Church in Sulphur Louisiana. She enjoyed flowers, baking, watching and feeding the birds, cross stitch, her dogs, and she loved gazing at the moon, but her family was her main priority.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas (Lorna) Miller of Houston Texas, Kerry (Pattie) Miller of Houston Texas, and Scott Schap of Katy Texas; step-daughters Cathy (Scott) Woodard of San Antonio Texas, Laurie (Steve) Olson of New Orleans Louisiana, and Ellen Gibson of Promo Colorado; five grandchildren Warren Miller, Cayli Miller, Cassidy Schap, Rebekah Miller of Houston Texas, and Ashleigh Schap of New York. Two sisters Nancy Matthews of Friendswood Texas and Betty Asted of Katy Texas. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lisa Gay and infant son Timothy Miller.

Funeral Procession will leave Hixson Funeral Home at 2051 E Napoleon Street, Sulphur, La. at 10:30am on Sunday December 23rd.

Burial will be at Mimosa-Pines Cemetery in Sulphur Louisiana on Sunday at 11:00am.

Preferred Memorial is The Dementia Society, Parkinson’s Foundation, Hospice or charity of choice.
