Ravenna Istre Wilson, 70, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. She was born to her late parents, Allen and Shirley Istre on October 2, 1956 in Crowley, Louisiana. She and her husband Rick were the owner/operator of Cedar Chest Antiques for many years. Ravenna loved her customers that she encountered on a day to day basis and the vendors she worked with. Her friends are considered family and she loved them very much. She was a music lover of Classic Rock, Oldies, and listening to her husband play, especially on Wednesday Music Night. Ravenna loved her Margaritas and enjoyed having a good time.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Rick Wilson; her children, Vanessa Reon of Jasper, Texas, Jon-Alan Reon of Singer, Louisiana, Stephen Wilson of Sulphur, and Teresa Lee of Pearland, Texas; two brothers, Jerome Istre (Hallie) of Green Cove Springs, Florida, and Brian Istre (Margaret) of Orange Park, Florida;
brother-in-law, Ahmed Zaina; grandchildren, Raegan Reon, Trinity Lee, Brendon Lee, and Tucker Lee; along with her great grandson, Major Lee-Michael Reon.
Ravenna is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Karen Zaina, Paul "Blake" Istre, and Janice Istre.
A Celebration of Ravenna's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 3:00 pm, led by Hixson Celebrant Jody Espinosa. Visitation will begin on Monday, beginning at 2:00 pm until the time of the service.
