Ray was a life long resident of Sulphur and a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Ray proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard for many years. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Smith Doucette, parents, Ulysse J. Doucette and Loney Chiasson Doucette, and sister, Sandra Doucette Gustin.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Jeri Doucette; daughter, Libby Quibodeaux and husband, Mark; son, Ray L. Doucette, Jr. and wife, Crystal; son, Randy Doucette all of Sulphur; three step-children, Kenneth Paul Roy of Lake Charles, Serena Lynn Roy Champeaux and husband, Tommy of New Iberia, and Brian Keith Roy of Moss Bluff; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of service on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral with a Rosary beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel.
A burial for Ray will be held at a later date in Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery in Westlake.
