Robert Alan Gros "Rags"

"Rags" was a lifetime resident of Carlyss. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 1981, and was a member of Pipeliners Local Union 798. "Rags" enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, and loved being outdoors. Most of all he loved his family.

Survivors include his father, Wallace Gros of Carlyss; daughters, Tasha Gros Richard and husband, Justin and Danika Ann Gros both of Carlyss; four grandchildren, Kailey, Baylor, and Blayne Richard, and Hunter Doty; four siblings, Randy Gros and wife, Kat, Wally Gros and wife, Pat both of Sulphur; Lucille Gros Dronet and husband, Johnny and Donna Gros both of Carlyss; a sister-in-law, Sally Schrumpf and husband, Charlie of Sulphur; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother,Billie Ruth Gros, and one brother, Greg Gros.

Celebration of Life Service will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Chapel led by Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Carlyss.
