He was a native of New Iberia and had been a resident of Moss Bluff for the last 4 years, moving from Sulphur. He worked as a tug boat captain for many years as the owner and operator of Clemons Marine Services and upon his retirement, he started RS Hot Shot Service. He enjoyed being outdoors near the water and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Susan Clemons of Moss Bluff; his children, Ronald Clemons and wife, Mariann of Moss Bluff, Daniel Clemons of Sulphur, Hollie Moore and husband, Shane of Coldwater, Mississippi, and Samantha Clemons of Moss Bluff; his siblings, John Clemons of Moss Bluff and Linda Chandler of Austin, Texas; and five grandchildren, Dylan Clemons, Ethan Clemons, Blake Clemons, Aubree Moore, and Lylah Kate.
A Celebration of Bobby's Life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home led by Jody Barrilleaux, Celebrant. Burial will be in Farquhar Cemetery in Sulphur. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Clemons, Daniel Clemons, Shane Moore, Dylan Clemons, Ethan Clemons, Blake Clemons, and John Clemons.
