Robert moved to Southwest Louisiana from Mobile, Alabama, 12 years ago. He retired from the Operators Union in Mobile. He continued working as a heavy equipment operator till he became unable/illness for his long time friend Lou Ellis. He loved fishing, the outdoors and life itself. He did it his way.
Survivors include his loving wife of 7 years Merry Fruge Outlaw; son Robert Outlaw, Jr., of Mobile, Alabama; daughter Yvonne Outlaw Fallo of Biloxi, Mississippi; stepchildren, William Crutcher, III, Joseph Crutcher, Daniel Crutcher, Cretia Crutcher Ainsworth, Savannah Mott Thibodeaux, Christopher Mott, Gerald Dearmond, Donald Dearmond, Maurice Martin, Dorcas Winton; brothers, Willard Outlaw and his wife Carol, and Stanley Outlaw and his wife Patsy; sister, Tony Gregor and her husband Greg; 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchldren.
He is preceded in death by his stepson Chris Crutcher and his brother Kenneth Outlaw.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, December 29, at his home in Carlyss.
