

He was a native of Johnson Bayou and had lived in the Sulphur area since 2008. He enjoyed alligator hunting, cooking and traveling with his family. Robert "was all about his family." He was a compassionate man and loved to help other people.
Robert is survived by his wife, Tammy Derouen Romero of Carlyss, five children, Karl Romero and wife Pamela of Johnson Bayou, Tiffany Webb and husband Tracey, Ryan Romero and wife Jennifer, Amber Trahan and husband Brandon, Desiree Derouen, all of Carlyss; three brothers, Allen Romero and wife Geraldine of Bridge City, Texas, Rogerest Romero and wife Quida of Johnsons Bayou, Howard Romero and wife Francis of Johnson Bayou; one sister, Brenda Sanders of Carlyss; sixteen grandchildren, Taylor Romero, Briana Romero, Peyton Romero, Kelvin Shelton, Riley Trahan, Trent Romero, Jordyn Jinks Romero, Kinsley Romero, Kirsten Webb, Phoenix Webb, Aubrie Quibodeaux, Sloane Romero, Landon Trahan, Brookelyn Trahan, Reagan Derouen and Lillian Koppie; he is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Agnes Ruth Romero: by a son Kevin Romero; one brother, David Romero; one sister Katherine Romero, and a granddaughter, Kory Webb.
Robert's funeral will be at 10 a.m., Monday, March 27, in the Choupique Baptist Church of Carlyss. The Rev. J.P. Miles will officiate. Burial will be in Head of the Hollow Cemetery in Johnson Bayou under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home of Sulphur.
