Rose Marie Laughlin

Rose was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. She loved cooking, fishing, playing Bingo, dancing, and traveling. She enjoyed being around people, and taking care of her loved ones. Rose was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are son, Allen Duraso; mother, Shirley Breaux Duraso; five grandchildren, Nathan, Ashley, Haley, Dustin , and Shaylee; six step-children, Theresa Swire and husband, Steve, Royce Laughlin, Darrell Laughlin, Regina Benoit and husband, Ronnie, Robbie Laughlin, and Ronnie Laughlin; siblings, Jimmy Duraso and wife, Brenda of Provencal, La; Richard Duraso and wife, Kathy of Winnie, Tx; Dennis Duraso of Sulphur; Belinda "B.K." Smith of Westlake; Delores "Dee" Duraso of Sulphur; Shane Duraso of Sulphur; Ryan Schexnayder and wife Charlotte, Daniel Schexnayder, Melvin Schexnayder and wife Darla, Dwayne Schexnayder and wife Johanna, Burnella Broussard and husband Gerald, Clifford Schexnayder and wife Virginia, Herman Schexnayder and wife Maxine, and Wilson Schexnayder, Jr. and wife Helen; loving companion, Steven McEloy of New Hampshire; eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allie Laughlin, her father, James Duraso, three brothers, T.K. Duraso, Bobby Schexnayder , Mike Schexnayder, and her biological father, Francis Schexsnayder.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Hazi officiating. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
