Ruby Estelle Meaux, 87, of Sulphur, gained her wings on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Ruby was born in DeRidder on December 27, 1937. She was a member of the Contraband Antique Car Club. Ruby was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church since 1962. She worked as a nurse for over 24 years and ran a nurse's uniform shop in Sulphur for many years. She enjoyed sewing and making stained glass. Ruby was an avid bowler for over 60 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time surrounded by her loved ones.
Ruby was preceded in death by her daughter, Laurie Olsen; parents, Della Fleming, James McElroy, Dominic Ruffatto and Wayne Fleming; brother, Pete McElroy; and sister, Shirley Duhon.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 70 years, Lee Roy Meaux of Sulphur; daughters, Cathy Bench and husband, Olen of Comfort,TX and Anne Geheb and husband, David of Sulphur; grandchildren: Jason Gaspard (Lauren) of Missouri City, TX, Christopher Bahnsen of Austin, TX, MaCenna Lee (Romeo) of Los Angeles, CA, and Aaron Geheb of Sulphur; great-grandsons: Alex, Robbie LeeRoy, and Cade Rowan; and her sweet puppy Bella Rose.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday July 14, 2025 in Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9 am until time of service with a Rosary at 11 am.
