Dr. Shane Daigle, 53, of Georgetown, Texas went to be with Our Father on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, 2026. He was born in Sulphur, Louisiana on January 31, 1973. Shane leaves behind a legacy marked by steady devotion, tireless work, and a love that made others feel safe, seen, and supported.
Shane was an alumnus of LSU, where he received both his undergraduate degree and then continued on to a doctorate in veterinarian medicine, building the foundation for a life of meaningful service. A man strong in his faith, he was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Austin, Texas
Through years of dedication and long hours, Shane became a successful veterinarian, owning multiple clinics and hospitals. He approached his work with purpose and care, earning the respect of those who knew him professionally and the gratitude of those who relied on him. His compassion was not reserved for special occasions; it was woven into ordinary moments, expressed through consistency, responsibility, and the simple decision to keep showing up.
Above all, Shane was a loving and supportive husband and father. He made family life something to look forward to. He loved going to the ranch with his son Knox, cheering on Avery at horse shows, showing up for dance recitals with Alexa, and creating traditions that became anchors in his children’s lives. His time with Ariya was short but he spent every second he could with her.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 7 years, Megan Akers Daigle; his children: Avery, Alexa, Knox, and Ariya Daigle; his parents, Mark and Vanessa Daigle and mother, Cynthia Maggio; his sister, DeeDee Daigle Thibodeaux, and husband, Justin; his brother, Casey Daigle and wife, Jennie; his in-law's, Monte and Patty Akers; his brother-in-law, Nathan Akers; along with his nieces and nephews: Brock Bujard (Emily), Cade Thibodeaux (Jacquelyn), Colby Thibodeaux (Malori), Ace Daigle, Diesel Daigle, Paisley Daigle, Maddie Akers and Harper Akers; and 7 great-nieces and nephews.

Shane was loved deeply by family, by friends, and by all who experienced his steady presence. His life was a testament to faith lived out in action, to hard work offered without complaint, and to a compassionate heart that always made room for others. In celebrating Shane, we hold close the love he gave so freely and the uplift he brought simply by being who he was.
