She was a native and lifelong resident of the Sulphur-Westlake area. Wynell was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting and reading.
Survivors include her sons, Brian Widcamp and wife, Leann of Westlake, and Danny Widcamp of Sulphur; her siblings, Elaine Westlund of Choupique and Steven Perry of Chandler, Arizona; and her grandson, Gavin Widcamp. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Kent Widcamp.
A Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, November 17, in Wesley United Methodist Church led by Rev. Bradley Swire and Celebrant, Jody Barrilleaux.
