Vicki Leigh (Fontenot) Dugas, 58, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025. She was born on July 20, 1966 in Sulphur, Louisiana. Vicki was a 1983 graduate of Lafayette High School. She was employed as a bus driver with Calcasieu Parish Schools. Vicki was very talented in art, especially drawing. She loved her animals, especially her dogs.
She is survived by her two sons, Benjamin Kickel and wife Brooke of Ragley, and Mark “Blaine” Fontenot of Sulphur; mother, Patricia Woods of Sulphur; sister, Rebecca Fontenot of Sulphur; along with five grandchildren, Kasen Kickel, Kollin Kickel, Kohen Kickel, Kami Fontenot, and Corbin Savant.
Vicki is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Sam Dugas; father, Victor Fontenot; “Poppa”, A.J. Woods; “Grandmother”, Lottie Johnson Grunewald; along with her sister, Amy Fontenot.
A Celebration of Vicki’s life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 2:00 pm, with Hixson Celebrant Jody Tyler. Visitation will be at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, from 12:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be at a later date at Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Carlyss, Louisiana.
