William proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard and U.S. Navy. After his service to our country he worked for Home Building Materials and Century Steps until retirement after many years of service. William also served on the Auxiliary Police Dept. in Sulphur and in Texas when he was younger. William volunteered at Care Help for many years and was known as a very kind and sweet man. He would give people gifts that he made by hand like shawls, ponchos, quilts, stuffed animals, outfits, gun holsters, etc. William was an avid cat lover, avid reader, and loved anything about history.
William was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sarah Munley Arbogast, daughter, Kimberly Arbogast, his parents, and a brother, Al Arbogast.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Debra Duncan and husband, George; step-daughter, Candi Dickson and husband, Jerry; sister, Frances Richer and husband, Tom of Castleton, Vermont; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Kevin Richer and family.
William's wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest with his late wife, Sarah. Cremation was entrusted to Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
