

Bill was a native of Edgerly and had been a resident of Sulphur for 60 years. He seasoned our lives not only with his heart and wit, but also with his culinary skills. Besides having an abundant love for his family, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, coaching baseball, woodworking, and story telling.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sharon Kinney of Sulphur; his sons, Sean David Kinney and wife, Laura of Moss Bluff and Michael William Kinney and wife, Brandy of Lake Charles; his sisters, Faithe Ludlow and husband, Roger of New Jersey, and Judith Kinney of Sulphur; his granddaughters, Aspen and Brinley Kinney; step-grandson, Austin Peavy; and his devoted sidekick, Abby. He is preceded in death by his parents, Velton and Bernice Kinney.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, October 10, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Ronney Partin will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Pallbearers will be Michael Kinney, Hansel Hedrick, Ronnie Young, Steve Dever, Roger Ludlow and Bill Daigle. Honorary pallbearers will be Ted Manuel, Michael Rowe and Jessie Fontenot.
