Brian A Trobaugh passed away on August 4, 2011 at the age of 43 in Bonney Lake. Brian was born in Centralia to Mike and Cathy Trobaugh on Nov 3, 1967. He spent most of his school years on the eastside with his mom Cathy, step dad Dave and sister Tonya. After school, he then made his home in Pierce County with his dad Mike, stepmom Jill and sister Meggan.
Brian then began his family and lived every moment for his children Cory, Brett, Haley and Trent. His niece and nephew fondly refer to him as Uncle Big Guy. He leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins and a circle of friends and family that loved him deeply. He was a hardworking man that was liked by anyone he came in contact with.
Brian had a lifetime love of sports - playing baseball, basketball, swimming, and his favorite sport of soccer. More recently he was a member of American Pool Association where he played in tournaments and was dedicated to his team. He enjoyed poker, hiking, UW sports, Sounders, BBQ with friends, 80’s rock music and laughter; but most of all he enjoyed the time with his kids.
Brian was diagnosed with brain cancer May 2011 and took on the battle full force. He made us proud and showed how to stand tall and never back down. His sudden death from a blood clot took him away before he could prove he would beat the cancer. He was baptized in 2008 and we know God has welcomed him home.
His life was always about his family and friends; through them he will be with us all. He was a selfless and honest man that always remained dedicated to his children.
Open Visitation is Friday August 12th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Chapel of Powers Funeral Home in Sumner. Service to celebrate his life will be Saturday August 13th at 11:00am at the Calvary Community Church in Sumner.
Arrangements under the direction of Powers Funeral Home, Sumner, WA.
