Dave was born at Travis Air Force Base in California on September 18, 1966. He went to Rogers High School and graduated in1984. He went on to earn his Bachelors Degree from PLU. For the past 28 years he worked in the Drywall Business, most recently as the manager of a drywall distribution yard in Poulsbo, Wa.
Dave was full of life and enjoyed barbequing, golfing, snowmobiling, watching sports, and of course anything to do with the Seahawks! He was very proud of his kids, and some of their fondest memories with their dad include vacations to Disneyland, Hawaii, road trips (especially with his unique music choices), visits to Arizona, and even learning how to properly start the lawn mower! Dave’s personality lit up the room and his laughter was contagious. He was loyal, honest and humble, in both his work and personal life. Friends describe Dave as “the guy you always wanted around”. He loved deeply, and would do anything and everything to support his family and friends.
Dave is survived by his wife Ellen of 24 years, daughters Jocelyn (23) and Ali (20), son Carl (Crystal), mother Sandy Davis, stepfather Robert Davis, brother Steven Rogers, four grandchildren (Marissa, Zachary, Bradley, Danny), and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. He will be welcomed with open arms in heaven by his father H. Donald Rogers.
Services will be held Thursday at 11am at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Sumner, WA. A reception will be held at High Cedars Golf Course immediately following.
