David Bruce Wayland, a 32 year resident of Enumclaw, died September 27, 2014, at the age of 69.
He was born October 13, 1944, in Seattle, Washington to the late Lola Phillip and Jim Wayland.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Wayland of 36 years, his children, Wendy Wayland-Judd (husband Kevin), Vikki Milsted (husband Mike), and step-children Wendy Wejmar (husband Scott Sims), Steven Wejmar (wife Susan Wiley), along with 8 grandchildren Jenay, Justin, Ripley, Taylor, Savannah, Cory, Jeremy, Chelcie, and 3 Great Grandchildren Kaleb, Izaiah and Wyatt.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. His most cherished times were spent having family gatherings, fishing and he had a great love for nature, he was also very well known in the industrial tire industry as a business owner, entrepreneur and an inventor of the biodegradable product “Bio-Tire Ballast”.
A military of honors ceremony will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday October 21st, at the Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 Southeast 240th Street, Kent, WA. please arrive no later than 10:45, further instructions will be provided on-site.
There will be a lunch reception immediately following at the Covington Community Center, 16720 SE 271st Street, Suite 100, Covington, WA.
