.Jack Willard Linn Of Graham, age 74, passed away at home in the morning of May 19, 2013. He was born on September 25, 1938 to Jack and Lydia Linn. He was married to Maryetta Linn. She survives him. Also surviving him are his sons Courtney Linn of Sacramento, California and Derek Jenkins of Spanaway; a sister Joanne Cowans; two granddaughters Eleanor and Rebecca; a niece Jody Boesen; and two nephews Michael Grant and Patrick Grant. Jack's father and mother, Jack and Lydia Linn, and sister, Judy Linn, preceded him in death. Jack was a native of the Puyallup area. He was born in Puyallup and went to Woodland Grade School. He graduated from Puyallup High School in the class of 1957. For many years Jack worked in the family business, the former Linn's Hatchery on South Hill in Puyallup. Later in life he worked as a diesel mechanic for Pierce County Road District. He retired from the County in [1995]. Jack liked cars and motor sports. He and Maryetta frequently entered their 1956 Ford truck, "Purple Haze," in local classic car shows. At the time of his death, Jack and his son Derek were restoring the '56 Ford in anticipation of the coming car show season. A celebration of Jack's life is in the planning for late June. Further information about that event will come in the next few weeks.
