

Arrangements under the direction of Powers Funeral Home, Sumner, WA. Marilyn was born in Seattle, WA May 4, 1953 to Paulino and Emilia Aromin. She is survived by her sisters: Auria Rosenberg, Patricia Westgard, and Madeline Bartak and brother Michael Aromin. Also eldest brother Ralph Aromin (deceased). The family owned a farm in the Auburn Valley before moving to town in early childhood. She completed gradeshool, junior high and graduated from Auburn Senior High in class of 1971. Marilyn married Robert Wyland Jr. from Sumner, WA in 1972 and had two daughters named Mara and Kimberly. They were stationed at various Air Force Bases throughout the US but time was most spent overseas in Germany. She enjoyed many years traveling around Europe. She worked as a civilian for both the Air Force and US army and was constantly recognized as an outstanding employee. Marilyn returned with her daughters to the US in 1986 and worked for the Department of Defense for twenty-five years. Her achievements include numerous awards for outstanding service which reflects her dedication, work ethic and attention to detail. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, daughters, siblings, nieces and nephews. She loved music, cooking, dancing, shopping, and always had a joke to tell. Everyone who knew her can attest to her great sense of humor. Marilyn had various hobbies and talents including sewing, crocheting, cake decorating and floral design.
In 2006 Marilyn was diagnosed with Kidney disease and suffered other complications related to heart disease and Diabetes. Marilyn had undergone many surgeries and endured numerous hardships these past 6 years.
Marilyn will be remembered always in our hearts as a fun-loving, kind and generous soul.
