Max enjoyed boxing as a young adult and was a Golden Glove Boxer. He enjoyed all sports and was a very competitive person, striving to be the winner at every game he played. Max loved the outdoors and cars.
Max is survived by his sister, Dorothy Ambler, the youngest of 8 children; daughter Norma Rife (Joe), grandchildren Laura and great grandchildren Keyshon and Jordan, and Travis Rife; son Wayne Miner (Karen), grandchildren Dr. Lanae Miner (Blake Budden) and Kevin Miner; daughter Vickie Nysether (Mark), grand-children Jasper (Carly) and great-granddaughter Leria, and Brandon, Bryce and Brent Nysether; daughter Wendy Thomas and grandchildren Peter, Philip and Teannah Thomas.
Max died peacefully Saturday morning in his home, April 9th, after a courageous battle with cancer. The family would like to thank Hospice who was outstanding, friendly and always there to assist.
Services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011, at 12:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, 15124 Main Street, Sumner, WA. Graveside commital will follow at Sumner City Cemetery. All are invited to the American Legion Hall in Puyallup following the services
