

He was born May 24th 1932 in Guys Mills, PA son of Margaret Blackmer and Otto A. Schweitzer. He married Patricia Geraldine Koseff, of Cambridge Springs, PA, on July 18th 1959 at Saint Hippolyte Church in Frenchtown, PA.
Neil was a 1951 graduate of Randolph High School in Guys Mills, PA. He served four years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Neil then worked on the Bessemer and Lake Erie railroad before moving to Seattle, WA in 1961. He retired in 1990 after 29 years with The Boeing Company.
Neil enjoyed an adventurous life hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, boating and golfing on the land and waters of Pennsylvania, the Pacific Northwest and beyond. In retirement he enjoyed travel with his wife making several trips across the United States by motorhome as well as international destinations by air and sea.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia Geraldine Schweitzer; brother Roger Schweitzer of South Carolina, sisters Lenore Russell of Sacramento CA, Martha Lewis of New Haven, CN, June Bruner of Somerset, PA and Nita Grace Pierce of Meadville, PA; his daughter Sarah Snyder of Orting, WA; his son Mark Schweitzer and wife Angela of Auburn, WA; his grandchildren Carl, Fiona and Evelyn and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Neil in death are his Mother Sarah Margaret Schweitzer, Father Otto A. Schweitzer, step-Mother Elzada Schweitzer , brother Myles Schweitzer, step-brother Wayne Hollabaugh, step-sister Lucille Williams, and step-sister Louise Keller.
Neil was laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA
