Bev and family,
Your all in my thoughts and prayers always.  Ron was a great man, a great mentor and a great boss. I will always miss the talks we would have over coffee in the morning on shifts, and his sense of guidance and pushing me and others in a better direction than we may have been heading.  He was a true servant of god and I know he is shining bright upon those he loved and cared for.  Your all in my thoughts and prayers.

It is with deep sorrow that I write this note to you. I just found out about Ron through the Hanlons.  I feel so privileged to have met you all. My only wish is that we could have had more time together. Even knowing Ron for this brief time, I felt the love in his heart for me and I for him.  I think of you all often.  How wonderful to have such a kind and loving person in your life.

I apologize for not speaking directly to you at Ron's memorial service. It was really crowded which is good. I was impressed by the number of people there and I was moved by the testimonies. I especially was impressed to see Dr, Benjamin Emmons! It was good to see Rod and Randy as well.
I did not spend a lot of time with Ron but I had a few converstaions with him and I just wanted you to know that he restored my faith and respect for police officers. Something I had lost a bit during my rebellious years of 1970s.
Ron's faith is something I learned of later and his example speaks mightily to me in my Christian walk.
My prayers are with you, Bev, Rod, Randy, and Ben.

I met Trooper Emmons when I was 18. I was driving too fast on wet pavement around a curve up at Lake Tapps and had an accident (in my 3 month old car!) I was so shook up and scared, and when he took me home I begged him to come in and tell my Dad what happened. He wasn't wild about doing it, but he did. It was very kind of him. Then he and Dad discovered they knew each other! Dad said he was a good cop and a nice guy. Dad was a good cop and a nice guy too. He has probably welcomed Ron into his new neighborhood! Knowing that Ron loved and served the Lord means there is a solid rock of hope in his passing. May that bring you comfort and peace. Precious in the sight of God is the death of one of His own.

Bev, Brad and I have just heard of Ron's passing.  We are so disappointed that we didn't know before the funeral service. Ron was a wonderful man of God and it was a great privilege to have known him. He made an impact on so many lives. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Bev, Pastor Ron has come to mean so much to Greg & I in the short time we were allowed to spend with him. To me, this candle represents the flame of love the Holy Spirit keeps kindled in our hearts for Himself & for all the others He brings to us. Pastor Ron has fueled those flames with his genuine love & concern & just the giving of himself to us (&many others). We are sooo glad to know him & love him and you also are absorbed into that special love God gave us for each other. we are so saddened at the loss of him on this earthly plane, but I know his will be one of the first faces I see when I cross over to my eternal life. Come the day Lord Jesus...come the day!!

Ron Was always there when we needed him. Will never forget him.

Ron Served his country, his state, and the City of Orting for many years.  I met Ron when I moved to Orting in 1979 and was proud to serve by his side as a volunteer firefighter and as an officer on the police department..  He was a man of compassion and I will miss him.  Gog Bless you Ron, your home now.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Ron's passing, I knew him when I was a teenager growing up in Orting. I use to chat with him on my way home from school, when he was parked by the power substation, waiting to catch speeders. He was a very nice man & I am priviliged to have known him. I met Ron the first day my family moved to Orting in 1988. I still remember that day. He was the consummate peace officer and a terrific representative of our town. His warmth was present each time you spoke to him. He will be very much missed and we are saddened at this loss. Blessings to the family.

Bev and family:  Our hearts go out to you at this time.  I had the privilege of being with Ron and Bev when they first met - I think it was love at first sight.  Mom and Dad (Helen & Leonard Cook)always loved your chance meetings and Ron always treated them so well.  They send their love as well. Ron was a people person.Never forget the time a friend and I were going golfing at hi-ceder's one day.only 16 and driving way to fast,when I looked in the rear view mirror and there he was.so close I could'nt see his head light's only his sheepish smile and slicked back jet black hair.he turned in behind me and went back to town.Only to tell my step dad that night at the eagles hall,need I say any more.Alot of great memories about a great man.Prayer's go out to the family, but don't worry he's in alot better place and we will all be together again sooner or later.

Ron, u were a wonderful man and a great chief. My father enjoyed being one of your fellow partners at the Orting Police Department. We will alway miss u. May you rest peacefully. God bless the Emmons family.

It was an honor to have known Ron. I really enjoyed being able to help be a part of his care while I was at Dr. Liao's office. He is definitely someone I will never forget. Just remember, he is watching over you and making sure things are going to be alright for you. When I lost my dad someone told me that the reason he is gone is because he got his work done down here and the rest of us just need to hurry up and get ours done too so we are able to be together again, so I pass that on to you as well. Take care of yourself, he would want that. You are in my prayers.

Having worked with Ron for many years with the WSP and playing baseball with him years ago. He is a great man.

Ron was in my high school class.  I feel privileged to have reconnected with him from Australia via the internet and Facebook over the past couple of years.  I know that he faced his cancer with great courage and was very kind to me when I also suffered losses.

This is a really sad day, and a great loss to all who knew him, may the Lord give the Emmons family and friends courage and strength through this tough time.

Your wonderful countenance and warm, welcoming manner will be sorely missed. You inspired me with your humility and quiet strength. I am so blessed to have known you, Ron. All my love to Bev and the whole Emmons family. May the Lord bless and keep you, always. May His loving arms surround and comfort you.

It was a privilege to not only work alongside Ron when we were both with WSP, but raising our kids together and having his friendship.  Our memories will last forever.  God Bless Ron and his family.

Seems like I have known Ron for ever, Both rookies in the State Patrol in 1970,worked together all the time he was in the patrol.When our daughter (Diane Root) was fighting cancer he was blessing to our family, when she died in 88, I had a problem with the city, They told me it was sand and that they couldn't dig deep enough for two caskets. Ron stepped in and told the city that he and his officers would dig it ???Never did find out who did the digging but when we burried her the hole was deep enough for our ashes when ever the time comes. His sgt Joe Hermann can't show for the ceromonies but he wanted me to pass on that Ron was the best and like the rest of the guys we loved him more than a brother ! What a kind kind man...We were lucky to have him in our town. When I lived in Orting I only had 3 brief encounters with the chief none of which I will forget!
Condolences to his family.

Ron Emmonds was "the" role model for every citizen and police officer that ever had the privilege to  know him.  Without hesisitation,  I can say that Ron epitomized the words "To Serve and Protect".  

My heart goes out to Ron's family.  From personal experience I know it is difficult for anyone to lose a friend or family member.  In this case it is especially painful to lose such a wonderful man and role model for our community.

In parting, I would like to thank you for being a part of my life.  I am a better person for having the brief pleasure to know you.
