Sally and Ray Roeder

Sally Lou Roeder beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt left this life on Saturday October 15, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born March 27, 1933 in Rupert Idaho. She married Raymond Roeder June 25th 1953 in Stevenson WA. They were married 62 years. Sally and Ray raised their children in Renton WA. Sally was employed at Container Corporation of America for 27 years. After retirement Sally and Ray loved to travel and went on many cruises in the Caribbean and Virgin Islands. In the mid 90's they built a home in Chandler AZ. where they golfed and enjoyed the sun during the winter months. They would return to their home in Orting WA for summers and holidays. Missing their grandchildren they made the decision to come back to Washington and built a new home in Puyallup where they remained for several years. In the summer of 2015 they moved to Cedar Ridge Retirement in Bonney Lake WA. Sally was well loved by staff and made many friends there. Sally was an accomplished gardener growing beautiful flowers, and vegetables. She loved to cook and bake and most of all spend time with her family and grandchildren. Sally was preceded in death by her mother Ida Drake, father Albert Hale and brother William Drake. Survivors include her husband Raymond, daughter Susan Markle of Lakeland Hills, Son Gregory(June) Roeder of Puyallup WA. and Son Jefferey(Daun) Roeder of Covington WA. 9 grandchildren Nikki, Brandon, Jason, Sean, Bryan, Jacob, Matt, Nina and Eric. 7 great grandchildren Kylie, Cadence, Lacey, Dylan, Jordan, Alivia and Anthony. 2 brothers Wayne Drake of West Palm Beach FL. and Robert(Gwen) Drake of Vancouver WA. Sally will be in our hearts forever. Services to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the American Cancer Society.
