 Stanly lived down on the corner from me on Miller  and Armour Rd. He was one of the first friends I made in N.J. after arriving from Fla.[towards the end of 5th grade]. He was always smiling! We played a lot of sports together.He will be missed, sorry for your loss as well as ours.

Our family wanted to pass along our deepest condolences to Stan's family. My boys rode his bus to and from school and looked forward to seeing him every day. Today was their first day of school and my youngest was so excited to show Stan his new hat, commenting "I bet Stan will call me Hollywood today because of my new hat". Needless to say there were some tears today at the news. Stan was a bright spot to their day and every one loved him.

Rest in peace Stan, you will be so greatly missed.

I am so saddened to hear of Stan's passing.  I had just seen Stan and Bonnie and they were looking forward to retirement and traveling.  My heart goes out to Bonnie.  May your close and warm family comfort you through this difficult period.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

sad to hear but sitting here thinking about all the good time we had as kids. Stan lived on warhol ave and I lived on wilmuth st we played as young kids in his back yard and mine.Rest In Peace my friend

At one of our class reunions I was able to sit down with Stan and catch up on each others life.
Eventually, our talk slowly drifted to our days of playing sports together. I was always fortunate enough to have Stan as a teammate.
Our conversation was a mixture of  fuzzy, amusing, and at times, a little exaggerated stories.
When I heard of Stan passing I reflected back to us sitting having a beverage and talking. At the time, It was just two old teammates swapping
memories and laughs. I later realized that it was a lot more, I remembered Stan's unique ability to bring the best out in what people had to offer. Whether it was
somebody doing more that they though they could or being supportive if they couldn't. Stan did this instinctively. We were just young teenagers not really sure what life was all about.
Which makes it all the more special. Those days are still with me.

I had the pleasure of working with Stan.  He was a fun, easy-going, and positive person.  He will be missed by many.  I am praying for comfort and peace to surround his family.

Stan was my friend. Not sure if I could ever remember our not laughing. Seeing him back in 2002 was just the greatest. He called me prior to the reunion, of course he laughed when I told him I was about to tee off. And then we knew we were in for a good time. We played golf toghter, baseball, cards, you name it. Thought the attached photo is profound, our own version of the Rat Pack. Stan, you will be missed.

the stan meek i knew at mahwah high school was adorable; all legs and arms and curly blonde hair and dimples to die for. 

he was especially fun to watch on the baseball diamond or the basketball court...in fact, one of my favorite cheerleader moments includes stan. i don't recall if it was junior or senior year, i don't remember the team we were playing, and i don't know if we won -- but it was stan who threw a right-before-the-buzzer 3/4-court shot -- and made it!

the inevitable high school cliques were pretty well delineated in those days -- but even though he seemed to be joined at the hip with gus (and larry, and kenny, and other kids whose names i can't remember) it appeared to me that stan fit in well with everyone.

i hope he brought all the good things i remember about him as a teenager to his much-too-short adulthood...and i hope he rests in deep peace.

We had great times shooting baskets and playing tetherball when we were kids.  You'd ride me around on your bike with the banana seat and high handle bars.  I'd walk to the field to watch your ball games.  I'm sad at your passing and that you died so young. May love and memories comfort your family and friends.
