Timothy James Ellenberger. Born April 25, 1958, began his journey in life in Norfolk, Nebraska. At an early age, he and his family moved to Washington. They moved around some before settling in Tacoma, Washington where Tim went to school and joined the Army at the age of 17, he served as a cook for the next 8 years with an additional 2 years in the reserves. He won several awards during this time. In May 1986 this wonderful man entered the life of his wife Donna. He was working for Firesafe at the time and came to the PSNB Operations Center where Donna was an armed security guard. It truly was love at first sight. Two years later in May 1988 the two were married. Tim had no children of his own but quickly adopted to Donna’s two teenagers. It was rocky at first as in any relationship with children involved but they worked through it and grew to love each other unconditionally. Tim’s goal was to make life as comfortable as he could for he and Donna. They moved from Tacoma to Belfair where they owned and operated a gutter company for nearly ten years. Due to Tim’s back issues he was unable to safely continue that line of work so he went to work for Northland Products a wooden stake plant in Finley, ND as a production supervisor. The challenges of this job completely consumed him, he loved it. However after 6 years it was time to move on. He then became a maintenance supervisor for Posi-Lock Manufacturing in Cooperstown, ND. After a year he was offered a position for Electric Wheels Inc. a new industry in Salem, OR. It was at this time we sold everything bought a 5th wheel and truck to pull it and headed for the west coast. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances it did not pan out. So we did odd jobs for a spell when we ended up in Kent, WA. As he went back to doing what he truly enjoyed doing and was very good at it, hanging gutters. It was as if he had gone full circle but he didn’t mind, it did put us much closer to our daughter Tina and Granddaughter’s Larissa, who is now 15 and Emma Mae who is 3. His grand babies were everything to him. He could make them laugh like no other. Papa to them was like a big play toy and although Emma may not remember him much later there will be a void in her life as she will have missed greatly the love and wisdom he would have showered her with. He just had a way about him with kids. He loved them all and they all loved him to. Family or friends it did not matter to him who they belonged to he enjoyed them. He was blessed to have been able to spend as much time as he did with his Hayes Baby (Larissa) she was everything to him. He had a very special place in his heart for her, as I know she has for him. Tim was a very easy going person. It took a lot to make him angry. He never met anyone he didn’t like or get along with. Most everyone that met Tim and got to know him found him to be a pretty stand up guy. He had a way with people that made them feel special. The guys he worked with found him strange in that he could go to work in the rain or shine be it a hard complicated job or easy job and he just whistle throughout the day. That was Tim... We could go on forever with stories and fun times but we would be here all day and night. There were many loved ones both family and friends gathered around Tim during his final moments and he still had a smile for us all. Tim took his last breath on earth at 5:04 am Sunday, June 3rd, 2012 at which time he began his new journey with our Lord and Savior in Heaven above. So we will close it here with saying to you our friend and Loved One you were greatly Loved and will be sorely missed for a long time to come.
