Tommy Mitchell

Tommy Mitchell was born Dec. 20, 1930 in Albany Oregon to Harvey and Ethel Mitchell of Jefferson, Oregon. He married Irene Ellison in 1952. Tommy and Irene moved to Puyallup in 1969 and then to Orting in 2005. He was a charter member of the Moose Lodge and Puyallup Eagles. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and sister Veloris as well as his son, Patrick J. Mitchell and grandson, Jason T. Mitchell. He is survived by his brothers, Mike and A.V. Mitchell of Albany and sister, Betty Barcom, of Matlock. He is also survived by Norman, Tim, Kelly (Katy) and John, all of Puyallup and Orting and Pamela of Orting. He was blessed with seven grandsons, one granddaughter, one great grandson and three great-granddaughters. A Memorial Service will be held Jan. 26 at the Powers Sumner Funeral Home, 15124 Main Street, Sumner, WA, 98390, on Monday, Jan 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Private inurnment at Gethsemane Cemetery will follow.Thank you, Dr. Egge for easing his passing and special thanks to Tom’s caregiver, Ashley.
