She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family.

Marie was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1926 to Albert and Carmen Chandler. She was the second oldest of five children.
Marie enlisted in the United States Navy in 1949 and was veteran of Korean War.
While in the Navy, Marie performed in a Armed Forces TV show originating in Seattle. There she met her future husband Maurice Shapiro, of Los Angeles. They were married in 1952.
After working in separate careers in the entertainment and advertising industries for ten years, Marie and Maurice formed a company and worked together for 30 years in film and broadcast.
They retired to Sun City West in 1994.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, sister June and brothers Robert and Charles. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years Maurice, and her brother Mark Chandler.
