Alma Betty Leyse

Alma was preceded in death by her sister Henrieta Knoll; her sister Doris Paetzel; her sister Wilma Wendt; her sister Norene Ewell; her sister Eleanor Sutton; her brother Karl Singer; her brother Ken Singer and her brother Norman Singer.

Born August 24, 1929 in Capac, Michigan. Alma graduated from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. She spent most of her years teaching elementary school along with English as a second language.

She married John "Jack" Leyse in Capac, Michigan on July 26, 1958. Married 67 years, with many of those years spent in the Midwest. In 2000, they retired and moved to Sun City, Arizona.

Alma is survived by her husband, John "Jack" Leyse; her son and daughter in law David Leyse & (Carla); and her daughter & son in law Diane Leyse (Todd Anderson); her grand daughter Katie Smith (Joe), her great grandchild Gunner Smith, her great grandchild Brynlee Smith, her grand son Jon Leyse (Bethany),and her great grandchild Baby Leyse.

A memorial & celebration of life for Alma will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at American Lutheran Church Chapel, 1700 N. Del Webb Blvd. Sun City, AZ. 85351.
