

Arthur Ralph Toeniskoetter, 90, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 in Peoria, AZ. Art was born December 19, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri to Ralph Henry Toeniskoetter and Marie Lorraine Helfert. After completing high school, Art continued his education at Washington University earning his certificates in Machine Design, Heat Engineering and Mechanical Design. He served in the US Army as a Private First Class during World War II in the Philippines and with occupational forces in Japan after the war. After the war, he was employed at St. Louis Public Service as a bus mechanic. Art married the love of his life, Jacqueline Joy Lowrance in 1949, celebrating 68 years together. He became a production engineer at Nooter Corporation in St. Louis in 1956 until his retirement in 1989. Art also was a long time member and elder at Emmaus Bible Chapel in Ferguson, Missouri and in recent years a member of Grace Bible Church in Sun City, Arizona where he served as an elder and as Chairman of the Missions Council. Art was generous with his time and used his many talents to support the work of numerous Christian organizations. Travel, especially to visit family members, including three trips to Papua New Guinea for involvement in mission projects and helping family members with countless building and repair projects were examples of his generosity. He also enjoyed woodworking as a pastime activity.
A memorial service with military honors will be 2PM, Monday, July 10, at Grace Bible Church, 19280 N 99th Ave, Sun City, AZ 85373. Officiating will be Dr. William G. Bjork. Interment for the family will be at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years, Jacqueline Joy (Lowrance) Toeniskoetter; children, Patricia (Charles) Howard, Betty (Timothy) Laos, Janet (Dan) Anderson; grandchildren – William (Cara) Howard, Sarah (Jonathan) Hanchett, Judith (Darren) Larsen, Jonathan (Alyse) Howard, Jason (Kala) Laos, Calen Laos, Grant (Jiazi) Laos, Daniel (Katie) Anderson, Timothy (Carolyn) Anderson, Hannah Miller, and Jessica (Seth) Howell; great grandchildren – Rebecca Howard, Benjamin Howard, Evalina Hanchett, Sonia Hanchett, Gabriella Hanchett, Ezra Hanchett, Simeon Hanchett, Savannah Larsen, Micah Larsen, Daphne Larsen, Tyler Howard, Kyan Laos, Abigail Laos, Lucy Anderson, Lydia Anderson, Davy Anderson, John Anderson, Jack Anderson, Edward Anderson, Molina Howell, and Marcie Howell; brothers, James (Billie) and Richard (Jeanne, deceased) Toeniskoetter; sister, Loraine Schneider; and brother-in-law, Kenneth (Suzanne) Lowrance.
