Beatrice Hunter Krehl, 101, of Sun City West, died at 4:20 P.M., Father’s Day, June 15, 2014, at Del Webb Memorial Hospital in Sun City West, Arizona. Born November 22, 1912 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Archie Dean and Iva Workman Hunter. She is preceded in death by her sister Iola Maland and her brother, Keith Hunter. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics and was a teacher for many years. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Willard Arthur Krehl. They were married in Marseilles, Illinois, September 11, 1937. She considered the role of wife and mother the most important career choice she could make. She pursued this choice with great pride. She was a member of the Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, where she served on every committee, but one; a 60 year member of P.E.O.; Member of The American Association Of University Women, The West Valley Scotts Club, member of The Women’s Board of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and many others. She was a croquet enthusiast, a supporter of the West Valley Chamber Orchestra, an avid ‘sheller’ and a voracious reader and collector of recipes. She is preceded in death by son Richard H. Krehl. She is survived by two children: Daughter Barbara Krehl McKendall and son Roger R.F. Krehl (wife: Maren). Five grandchildren, Kevin Krehl, Kathy Robinson, Carri Natarelli, Melanie Richardson, and Ryan Krehl. Five great-grandchildren, Kyle Krehl, Karly Arnold, Keith Krehl, Dylan Krehl, and Alana Krehl. Three great-great-grandchildren, Jackson and Dominick Arnold, and Cole Robinson. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 28th at The Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, 13459 W. Stardust Blvd., Sun City West, AZ 85375, the Rev. James W. Crelin, 3rd, officiating. Reception to follow in Fellowship Hall. She will be laid to rest at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City.
